Indoor Sports - FutsalI can't seem to get a decent image from futsal. They are very quick & changes directions rapidly. Both shots @ 1/320s ,f4.5, Sb600 and ISO 400. Any tips/ Thanks
Re: Indoor Sports - FutsalI think the flash is a bit too harsh, especially because there is a wall in the background.
Are you usign the flash on- or off-camera? Looks like it's on-camera based on the shadows - try to get the flash working off-camera and the shadows will start to work better in your favour Also, you might see about trying to slow down the shutter speed to give it a bit of slight motion blur effect - remember your flash will freeze a frame of motion, but you'll get slight light trails (you'll need to set your flash to second curtain sync or else it'll look like people are moving backwards ). Hope that helps. www.tangcla.com - photography

Re: Indoor Sports - FutsalP.S. I like the first shot, their facial expressions and the pose of their bodies are great! Also nice because the background is darkened, being so far away.
Second shot, the background is too distracting for my liking. That's my 2c. www.tangcla.com - photography

Re: Indoor Sports - FutsalYou might still be able to rescue these images with a bit of dodging and burning.
with off camera flash (if possible two of them). I would guess that the lighting would be constant so you might be able to get away with manual ebay units for wireless. If you have a faster lens + focus perhaps blurring the background may be an idea as well.
Re: Indoor Sports - Futsalif you slow down the shutter speed to 1/200s and bump your iso up to 1600 you can balance the ambient light with flash a little better so it doesnt have that "flashy" look. great action catches though.
