Cheap Nikons at Teds

Postby Greg B on Tue Nov 11, 2008 8:52 am

I know we don't usually have a particularly favourable view of Ted's, but they have some good prices
at the moment..

D700 body $3,700
D700 body plus Nikon AFS 24-120 VR $4,500

D300 body $2,400

I assume they bought up stock when the AUD was high

ECS is still cheaper. $3575 for the d700 and $2195 for d300.
they've been at that price for a while now and according to their website...

AS AT 03/11/2008:
Great news for us legit dealers, as Nikon Australia (bless'em) today advised that they will be holding their pricing till January 2009

For what it's worth, I'm actually considering buying a D60 to replace my almost 50,000 shutter-old D70 at Ted's.

Got my D700 from a local shop in town that gets their stuff through Teds. I paid $3500 PC in Brisbane would have done better pickup or the same delivered. The local shop's price was $3250 so there is still some margin in it for them. I wonder what Teds buy price is?

Just a plug for Teds... we recently bought a D90 and D700 plus a couple of lenses / bags etc. We shopped around all the photographic shops in Adelaide and the best service and price by far was at Teds. They were excellent.
