Well I must apologise for my lateness in highlighting the wonderful image below. Rooz has been posting some cracker macro shots of late and the post containing the image below is no exception. I urge you to have a look at the other images in the original post HERE and in this other recent post as well for some great examples of Chris' macro work. This is a style of photography I rarely do, but when I see work of this quality it makes me want to go out and give it a try. The image I've selected for PotW this week is wonderfully simple - the subject is nice and sharp and the background wonderfully dreamy so we don't miss those big bug eyes. This is a very compelling image with a very different perspective on the wonders of nature that abound around us.

cheers mate. much appreciated. i dedicate this POTW to Geoff who took my exotic beauty, (the 14-24 i mean :p), away with him forcing me to use the 105 more and more the last week or so. i can honestly say that after a very rough honeymoon period i've really grown to ove this lens.
this is my personal favourite too so glad someone felt the same. (although, now i regret my laziness by not cloning out the blue.) lol

Well done Rooz, thats an awesome picture, just shows how important the background is to making a top shot - I reckon the little bit of blue does not hurt!
Beautiful blend of colours too..!!
