Target Photobooks - report

Postby Greg B on Sun Nov 16, 2008 11:56 am

Some friends got married recently, and one of our members was the photog.
He took a couple of hundred images, and the happy couple looked after the rest.

I hadn't really heard of Photobooks until they were suggested as an alternative to
having prints done.

Long story short, the result is a Photobook from Target. 30cm x 30 cm, black linen
hard cover, 40 pages, $110.

The software was easy to use, and the result is really impressive. Paper and
printing quality are very good, and my friends are absolutely delighted with the
whole thing. I have no idea how quality would compare to other similar products,
but I am impressed with this product, and the price seems very reasonable.

Two points - the photographs were very good to begin with, and that is obviously
important. And the groom's son was married a year or so back and the album cost
$6,000 (!), all up I assume. A lot of money.

This all cost well under $1k, and they are very happy.

There was an earlier discussion about Photobooks in this thread if you are interested.

Details of the Target products (the 30x30 is the largest in the range) are on their website.

Thanks for the info Greg. I was looking at doing one of these, mostly for the convenience.

I went into Target this afternoon, but no-one there knew anything about them. Got some cheap undies though. :)
