Best slide film (veliva) developing labs in Canberra?

Many of our members still have film cameras. And some even use them! This is for film junkies

Best slide film (veliva) developing labs in Canberra?

Postby latch on Thu Nov 20, 2008 3:37 pm

My first SLR was a Nikon F50, and although I now shoot mostly with my D70 I still like putting a roll of film through my F50 every now and then. I have not had any Velvia slide film developed since moving to Canberra, and am wondering if anyone can suggest a good place to get it done?

I think bica prolab are the only people left in canberra that will develop it. They arent really cheap and their service isnt that good but they are all we have AFAIK. If possible or your in a hurry its best to drop the film into the Fyswich store as thats where they do all the E16 processing

Thanks Thommo,

I'm not in a particular hurry, but now I know of a place to go I'll finish the film in my camera and take it out to Fyshwick sometime soon. I had always suspected that digital photography was having a huge impact on film developers, but I didn't realise that a place like Canberra would be down to only one or two labs that develop Velvia!
