D700 file sequence QuestionHI a Question for the D700 users.
I normal shoot Raw with but I wanted to fire off a few quick and dirty images so grabbed a CF card from the D70 and put it in the D700.Changed to JPG and shot away.Normaly I would format a card as my first step each time. But i wanted just a few images. Now the D700 has taken on the file numbering of my D70 from the CF card I assume. It went from 600 to 6085... Grrr. Normally I dont rename any of my original files and keep them in date ordered folders and file names. Each camera I have just change some of the first few letters. This has stopped any duplicate numbers. So.. has anyone got any idea how to get it back?? Google has shown a thread about getting it to follow but I can find any info on getting it back. MATT
Re: D700 file sequence QuestionMatt,
I suspect it is the same as the D300, in which case, this will work: http://andrewtrevor-jones.com/d300fileseqnumber.html
Re: D700 file sequence QuestionYou MY SIR are absolute champion...
One day when we meet , I will buy you a beer or two or three. I was actually thinking something along that line. But was going to drag an old image to the CF card and see what happened. But I have taken about 100 images since then and would like it be the same as the shutter count of the camera. But it seems so easy and logical. Thanks again MATT
