Re: Landscapes and Gardens of JapanVery nice. Excellent compositions in these 2 images. I would probably leave a bit more space on the top in no. 3.

Thanks Alex, but which two? (of 3)
I agree, but just above was a pathway with people and other distractions. Bloody tourists! Why can't I be the only one there...? I probably needed a ladder. Daniel Nikon D4, D2Xs, D70, Nikkors and Sigmas lenses from 10 to 400mm

Re: Landscapes and Gardens of JapanNice pictures Daniel.
I'm trying to plan a trip, and Japan is on the list. Thanks for letting me share your journey via smugmug, too!

Re: Landscapes and Gardens of Japan
Ah... No problems. Thanks.
Thanks. You're welcome. Japan is wonderful place to visit. I do recommend getting out away from the usual tourist places. There are many great places where you don't see any western faces.
Being on a regular tour limits the ability to pick your timing. There were a few times I saw wonderful golden evening light from the window of a bus. But I definitely saw much more than I ever could on my own. Daniel Nikon D4, D2Xs, D70, Nikkors and Sigmas lenses from 10 to 400mm

Re: Landscapes and Gardens of Japan#4 is best for me, the others need more space in the crop. Have been to Nippon numerous times, and autumn is just spectacular for colour!

Re: Landscapes and Gardens of Japan
Thanks Ozi. As noted before I was fighting geography in one shot. For the other shots, I find I get cramped shots when I shoot portrait orientation. I don't think I've worked out how to do landscapes in portrait.
Thanks Steve. Daniel Nikon D4, D2Xs, D70, Nikkors and Sigmas lenses from 10 to 400mm
