I think i changed some settings on my D300

Hey

i recently went on a wonderful holiday to Canberra and Sydney and strangely enough gave the camera a nice workout. but somewhere along the way in all my fiddling i think i changes some setting but i am not sure what.

Previously i thought the viewfinder flashed red once the camera had achieved it's auto focus, but now it just flashes red when you press the button to get the camera to focus and then goes black and focuses. Which of these sounds normal to you or was the initial method just my imagination?

Check CSM a6 AF point illumination. Default is AUTO which means it will flash red if it is dark and then focus. Switching this to ON means it will always flash red before focusing, and OFF means it will not flash red under any circumstance.
