I never saw the original. This is as perfect a shot that I see posted here. It's so nicely finished you should definitly blow it up and frame it and sell it. Exquisite job.
I love the colors and softness to the water... This is worth a large print for sure!
Don't remember the original so I can't compare but this is terrific... Out of curiosity, is this a crop at all? Cheers, Mudder Aka Andrew
This shot is almost alien and I like it very much - superb colour and the horizon is straight

Thanks fellers,
Leek, it is a place called Cape Woolamai, near Phillip Island Vic. Jordan P, Thank you dooda, Thank you cricketfan, Thank you mudder, Thank you A slight Crop just after I made the horizon straight. Very slight. sirhc55, Thank you
What an excellent picture you have there. Well done on creating a silouhette of the rocks mid-frame and still getting some detail on the beach. The colour looks great too. Almost what i imagine Mars would have looked like with liquid water on it's surface.
http://www.planetary.org might be interested in that kind of concept. They have a montly magazine that has art work on the back cover. I reckon that image could happily grace the back cover. Last edited by Killakoala on Sun Feb 27, 2005 4:32 pm, edited 1 time in total.

Great shot Mic!
The lighting gives it such a moodiness; spooky actually. The large outcrop on the right seems to be creeping forward to engulf the smaller ones.... Simon

I also am in love with that photo.
What consideration did you take regarding exposure, if I may ask. Did you shoot raw (NEF) ? What PP did you do if any ? I am just intriged how what I percieve to be a high contrast shot can turn out so great. Surely there has to be a (trick) secret, or I'm not getting it. It would be great if you or somebody would like to enlighten me and the rest of the world in how to do those photos. Regards CD
Wow
Thanks guys, it a wonderfull feeling when you work on a shot and it works and a lot of people like it Thanks Killa Your link sounds interesting but I cant get it to work ? Thanks Manta Thanks Rokkstar Taken at Cape Woolamai, near Phillip Island Vic Thanks CD Well I made the aperture small, I'll have to check tonight actually what I used with low light this allows you to get a long shutter speed 1 or 2 secs combine with fast moving waves & a Tripod of course = Presto I did a little PP, A bit of Saturation, slight burn on the sky to cut down the glare a bit. All in all not a lot of PP. Shoot in RAW all the time. You just have to get out and experiment with a few shots and the right light conditions and you might get a couple of nice ones. I'm glad you liked it Thanks Onyx Yes I agree, just the right amount for the shutter Thank you to all who commented and enjoyed, I'll have to keep up my standard some how now. Regards, Mic.
Mate, that's a great shot!
Any chance of getting EXIF info? Was this tripod mounted or handheld? What was the shutter speed ( slow i'm guessing looking at the water )? Damn nice shot, congrats on the potw. PlatinumWeaver / Dean
