Please note that image critiquing is a matter of give and take: if you post images for critique, and you then expect to receive criticism, then it is also reasonable, fair and appropriate that, in return, you post your critique of the images of other members here as a matter of courtesy. So please do offer your critique of the images of others; your opinion is important, and will help everyone here enjoy their visit to far greater extent.

Also please note that, unless you state something to the contrary, other members might attempt to repost your image with their own post processing applied. We see this as an acceptable form of critique, but should you prefer that others not modify your work, this is perfectly ok, and you should state this, either within your post, or within your signature.

While Matt K demonstrates his world class photographic capabilities to the members of the dslrusers.com forum.

Matt, these are simply the best work that I've ever seen you produce. And that is really saying something given the high standards that you always come up with.

Not much more to say, other than you should be proud. I think Mr Cappa would be impressed as well. (R more so than C).

Alicia gave me a book for Christmas last year on Magnum photographers (unfortunately not including Salgado) - a great book and weapon (given its size).

Matt. Well done on capturing some fantasic images. As previously mentioned I think number 4 in the standout. You have managed to demonstrate the drama and surroundings of the topic supurbly. Well done on a great series.

Having never shot a gun before or been involved with the forces is it common practice for a wounded soilder to continue carrying his weapon whilst being strechered off to saftey and having it pointed at the two rescuers in front whilst the hand resting on the area the trigger is located.

Just an observation. LOL

Nice work

Jase,

That's probably not his weapon. He's carrying this for one of the stretcher bearers. :)

A medivac under fire....the soldier has a leg wound and is probably lucid and conscious...his finger is outside the trigger guard...if the stretcher bearers come under fire then I guess it's all bums on the ground and return fire.
But you make a good point and one I'm sure the soldiers get well drilled on.
