So please do offer your critique of the images of others; your opinion is important, and will help everyone here enjoy their visit to far greater extent. Also please note that, unless you state something to the contrary, other members might attempt to repost your image with their own post processing applied. We see this as an acceptable form of critique, but should you prefer that others not modify your work, this is perfectly ok, and you should state this, either within your post, or within your signature. Images posted here should conform with the general forum guidelines. Sort of abstractsHere are some miscellaneous abstracts... Actually looking at them now, they probably aren't strictly abstracts, but close enough.

Re: Sort of abstracts
Thanks. I actually thought the 3rd shot was not really as strong as the others. Don't know why. What do you see in it? Daniel Nikon D4, D2Xs, D70, Nikkors and Sigmas lenses from 10 to 400mm

Re: Sort of abstractsI'm with the others - the last 2 shots rock. Great use of symmetry, repeating forms and perspective.

Re: Sort of abstractsI like #2 and #4 the best, followed by #3 the angle just doesn't work for me, but the lines are good just a different crop or orientation would have me straining my neck less
Re: Sort of abstracts#4 for me - this would look GREAT nice and big on a wall.

Special Moments Photography Nikon D700, 50mm 1.4, 85mm 1.4, 70-200 2.8VR, SB800 & some simple studio stuff.
Re: Sort of abstractsI would call them Patterns rather than Abstracts, and I agree with the others, great stuff.
My favourite is #1, has a very nice feel to it. Greg - - - - D200 etc

Re: Sort of abstractsThank you all for the nice comments and feedback.
Thanks. I do like a good set of lines. I guess I subconsciously find the roof lines coming down break up the leading lines leading into the far distant rubbish bin.
Yes I admit the angle is unfortunate. It was a multi-shot HDR and I was using a table-top tripod being held firmly to the side wall. It was jolly awkward and uncomfortable. Unfortunately, my later straighter shots were blurred so not usable. Perhaps you'd prefer this angle:
I'm glad someone liked my favourite too (#1). I agree they are closer to patterns. Although I've got a separate collection of those, mainly stonework. Daniel Nikon D4, D2Xs, D70, Nikkors and Sigmas lenses from 10 to 400mm

Re: Sort of abstracts
Thanks. It was a great tunnel. It was nice to just walk around the sweeping bend (dodging the occasional golf cart). The Japanese do great tunnels. Daniel Nikon D4, D2Xs, D70, Nikkors and Sigmas lenses from 10 to 400mm
