Happy New Year, thanks to all of you who have helped me getting back into photography over the past twelve months.

Here is my New Years Eve. Straight from camera apart from a few crops.

1. Sunset - waiting for those fireworks (Exif: 1/250, f/11, ISO100, 70mm, Aperture Priority)
Image

2. 9.00 fireworks (Exif: 2s, f/4.5, ISO100, 70mm, Shutter Priority)
Image

3. Midnight fireworks (Exif: 3s, f/4.5, ISO100, 70mm, Shutter Priority)
Image

4. More midnight fireworks (Exif: 3s, f/4.5, ISO100, 70mm, Shutter Priority)
Image

5. All finished - back to normal (Exif: 30s, f/10, ISO100, 70mm, Shutter Priority)
Image

All shot with D80 and 18-70 DX. PS - there are 5 shots here. Felt like a nice series? Will remove some if required. PSS - they need some more cropping methinks, will have another crack later. Sleep now.

Wow whitey...these are sensational images and I just love the Sydney skyline sillhouette and dusk...magic! Wasn't it a perfect day/evening?

I think we can let your 5th image slide on this instance. Thanks for sharing and well done! Happy new year to you!

Thanks Geoff, yep perfect night for it. I was lucky with the position as well. Plenty of time and room to set up, ended up squeezing off ~250 shots.

The sunset was my favourite, been waiting for one of them all year.

Out-blooming-standing photos. Especially the 1st. Would it be too much to ask you to post the exif data for the shots please? It might help many readers on the forum who would like to take some good fireworks shots some day in the distant future... :)

Whitey. A great series of pics. In number 3 the blue is so vibrant, and the reflection works well in the shot. Nicely Cropped. Also like number 5. 1 and 5 could make a great pair and compliment each other well. Looks like they were taken from the same spot. Great work.
