My take on NYE and some fireworks - Part ITaken from Manly and the 9pm fireworks there:
The barge with fireworks coming in to stop before dark: Dusk: Geoff
Special Moments Photography Nikon D700, 50mm 1.4, 85mm 1.4, 70-200 2.8VR, SB800 & some simple studio stuff.
Re: My take on NYE and some fireworks - Part II like the 2 and 3 the best, the clouds are great in that shot (2) and its a nice view you have there, must be hard waking up to that
Was it windy out that way NYE? I assume that building on the right obscures the city - come to think of it theres a big hill on the other side of the bay there gerry's photography journey
No amount of processing will fix bad composition - trust me i have tried.
Re: My take on NYE and some fireworks - Part IThanks Gerry,
I don't live there, I just had the place for the evening on NYE...lucky! It wasn't windy at all on NYE, and yep, that building on the right, obscures the big hill which then blocks the city view Geoff

Re: My take on NYE and some fireworks - Part IThanks for posting these Geoff, made me realise that I may have cropped some of my shots too closely. All these different NYE shots are great, so much to learn.
thanks. D80, 50mm F/1.8, 18-70mm DX, Sigma 10-20mm
