I have said a few times in different threads that I use my camera(s) for work purposes so I thought I might share some of my work photos with you all.

Chris - u have a talent and an eye for detail, colour anc clarity, I'm sure you could work worders with a kodak disposable...nice images! CRISP and clear. Am I allowed to ask/know who the bottom one was/is for? Interflora?

The flower shot was horrendous as I had to deep etch out the background using the pen tool in PS - it took hours of labour, but the client never understands what you have to do to get what they want.

Great shots Chris, i like the wine bottle even thou i dont touch the stuf, but yeh looks very well presented, and the flowers WOW top work anyhow mate you do a great job with what you do.

I'm with BBJ - non drinker of wine (or any other alc.) but so neatly presented - the box of choc looks very appealing! Floral arrangement is stunning and you have done it justice. The white backdrop really allows the lot to show off it's individuality. The top image is (for the want of a better word) very slick - highly recog. as pro. Thanks for showing us these.

With regard to ”scoring” wines I do now and again - the last one that happened my way was a bottle of French Faiveley Nuits-St-Georges 1st Cru a very nice wine.

I do get to eat a few chocolates during the shoots as they are opened and can’t be sold - so I get drunk and fat

Choccies are good Chris but i already got a fat body, lol and dont have them often and well i live 50 ks away from u guess if you like wine would know the Coonawarra vineyards and have been to many wineries over the years as a coach driver, and well if i had wine it would end up being used for cooking. LOL

Thanks for sharing this. It's fantastic to have insight into what a pro does and these are two interesting, but quite different. examples. I guess the big thing that jumps out at me is how important lighting must be when taking shots like these.

Thanks Peter - you are right about lighting but I have fudged many a shot in PS and PP.

As I have said before - I shoot pics to make money but when I go out into the streets or countryside I am no longer shooting professionally it is then that my love of photography becomes something special - and, I must add, I make most of my mistakes

Really cool Chris. Thankyou for posting. I recently researched into trying to make money, and realized that my passion for photography would wane, so I'm going to stick to making a little money on the side and putting it into the hobby. I love taking the pics but the pp and everything else is such a pain. I'm really impressed with both.

Peter - you won’t believe this but they were primarily for the web but the client also wanted them as back up in case she produced a brochure

Gerard - we were not using the same camera! These shots were taken on the Nikon D1 with Nikon glass and it was only a 2.7Mp camera. The D70 will actually do a better job on both colour and size, but my point really is that sensor size is not that important when you are using Nikon
