Mungo with rain ;-)Recently (in November) I went on a little bush trip and had convinced Gerard (AKA Glamy) into going with me. He had concerns it was going to rain I said "are you kidding me? It never rains out there It's an extinct lake that has not ahd water for thousands of years!"
Oh well...it rained But made for a more dramatic capture in my opinion.
Re: Mungo with rain ;-)Welcome LostDingo. Did the water wash out your scent?
Great series of photos. Certainly much different to what it looked like when we were there several years ago. Are you sure you didn't PP those clouds in? BTW don't forget to put your location in to your profile before the big bad forum owner gets stroppy. He doesn't need an excuse, but he WILL use this as one (See message in RED above) Greg
It's easy to be good... when there is nothing else to do
Re: Mungo with rain ;-)Thanks Mr Darcy...location in...I'll try to get an avatar up soon.
No doctoring of clouds which Gerard can attest to.....we were so fortunate in my opinion.
Re: Mungo with rain ;-)Interesting shots
Having been to Lake Mungo in the blinding heat these shots are a great comparison Well done Nikon boy Norman
Re: Mungo with rain ;-)Long time no see
Mungo in rain, I actually was also there back in May and they had rain, they even had the lunette closed for a day because of the rain!! Mungo is probably one of my favourite places in the Outback, been twice, last time with rain, previous time with nice clear skies. The clouds make it very dramatic. The first two would be my favourites. Did you spend much time at the park? Re: Mungo with rain ;-)Hey LostDingo,
Very long time no see, I've missed hearing the US pronunciation Nigh-Con around the traps. I really like the first shot, but think it may of been improved by a lower perspective and by placing the stump more around the lower third of the shot. The clouds look very foreboding but to me it feels like they have been "burned" a little too hard, is has a bit of a surreal feel to it, but overall I love the scenery it feels a little like an alien planet would in the movies.
Re: Mungo with rain ;-)Welcome back LD, I hope you will make it to some of our meets, I am very much looking forward to meeting you physically again.
