Sunrise at Bronte Beach

Whilst I was waiting for a family to arrive for a morning/sunrise photo shoot at the beach I got a few quick shots before the fun began with a 9, 7 and 3 year old! Here's a couple that've had minimal PP. Taken with the lovely 24-70 2.8.

I really like the second one Geoff, great colour in the sky and movement in water it makes for a nice contrast.

Geoff. Nice captures. Wish I had that kind of dedication to venture out so early. Love number two. As stated the movement in the water draws me in the swirl between the two large rocks)as does the colour in the bottom right corner on the board walk. Well worth the struggle to drag yourself out of bed.

No 1 does it for me. Lots of interest, and I like the pink between the waves and on the lip of the baths.

Thanks for the comments people.
Whilst I was getting paid for the portrait shoot I did after these were taken it has inspired me somewhat to TRY and get up earlier for some nice sunrise shots.
That said, almost everyone I know who has a kid/s says 'savour your sleep ins while you don't have kids!!'

These were all using a tripod actually.
I was so excited when I got there however, I tried to take a few without tripod (cos the light was amazing) but they (obviously) didn't turn out well. I think these were about a 1sec exposure time from memory.

Lovely shots Geoff, that is a great spot at Bronte.

The first one for me. I would just do a bit of cropping: crop just above that pole on the bottom and just take a bit off the right hand side to get rid of the light that shines above the stairway, just a bit distracting.

Gorgeous colours and the pink reflection on the water and edge of pool is just wonderful.
