Great shots, I love the stars in #1 can I ask what the exposure time was?

Fantastic. What other light sources were you using? Also, did you stack or combine images for #2 to avoid star trails?

Yes please, I too would like to find out some more of your process!

Thanks for sharing

First shot was 40 2 minute shots combined, 400 ISO f4. Second shot was a single 75 second exposure, 400 ISO f4. No other light sources other than the fullish moon. Tonight I am going to try a 3 hour total exposure on the star trail.

Great shots - you have amazing patience with these long exposures!

Pity there's power lines in the second one, they aren't exactly nicely placed up there are they - seemed to get into every shot I took last time I was there.

Big V - sensational work, and you should be very proud of them. Can not split the two images, they are that good.

How did you determine the exposure needed to be 75 seconds?

Outstanding pics Big V. Love number 2. Incredible considering only natural light was used.

The exposures were determined from past experience, have tried this before. It also helps to chimp :)
