Back & Front Check Focucing chartsHi,
Iv'e had a reason to check my lense Autofocus accuracy and found this blog with downloadable charts which really simplified the task at hand for me (as someone who had no idea where to start) so perhaps it maybe useful to others ... http://regex.info/blog/photo-tech/focus-chart If anyone has anything to share on this subject all hints appreciated Rgds Deb T DebT

Re: Back & Front Check Focucing chartsThanks for the link Deb. I coincidentally was reading about AF accuracy this weekend as well. For a commercial solution, on the expensive side, the LensAlign solution seems to work for those that can make use of microadjustments, eg D300/D700 and others. These links will take you there:

Re: Back & Front Check Focucing chartsI am not too sure about these focus charts for general focus testing. They are handy for testing the overall alignment of the cameras internals but for testing focus for the real world I prefer to use a bigger target and shoot from distances that are closer to where the camera and lens is going to be typically used.
Cheers
