Re: Toddlers can be cute sometimesRooz,
Ripper Shots. Photo two has that age of innocence about it. Pick of the bunch. Also number 4, Great depth of field and Im sure that stick tasted better than it looks. Well done as usual. hrpremier Guess What! ........I Have A Fever........And The Only Perscription........Is More Cowbell.
Re: Toddlers can be cute sometimesThese are great. My little one is doing the same stuff.
It would be nice to get a bit more out of her eyes in #1 though. Regards Colin

Re: Toddlers can be cute sometimesGreat shots, I love what you have done with the monochrome conversions, but #2 is my favourite (just cant help but thinking that they will be like "ewww germs!!!" in another few years) Glad to see that you are enjoying the 24-70.

Re: Toddlers can be cute sometimesthanks for the comments.
col, i agree with you. i did try and pull some back into the eyes but i couldnt get it without ruining them. pale skin and deep brown eyes make is difficult to get right withiout strobes. cam, i'm enjoying the optical quality yes, its incredible. not enjoying the experience of shooting with it though. its the most unbalanced and uncomfortable lens i've ever used. hopefully its just a matter of getting used to it. right now i'm shooting with it for the results i can get, not for the joy of it. Re: Toddlers can be cute sometimesSome excellent shots there again Chris.
I love the last one - that's definitely print worthy. I found that in time I became more used to the 24-70, I think when I (eventually) get the grip for me D700 it'll feel better..I hope . Geoff

Re: Toddlers can be cute sometimesgeoff, i'm using it with the grip at the moment. it still feels pretty average right now. cant say i'm too thrilled with the zoom ring damping and feedback either.
its not the weight either cos the 14-24 is heavier but it feels better than any other camera/lens combo i've ever used. perfectly balanced and a joy to use. a stark contrast. EM1 l 7.5 l 12-40 l 14 l 17 l 25 l 45 l 60 l 75 l AW1 l V3

Re: Toddlers can be cute sometimes
I guess I never noticed how bad the 24-70 felt as it was my first 'good' lens, moving up from a D40x + 18-135mm combo to the D300 + Tamron 17-50 combo. So I guess that Geoff is right that you will get used to it, as I just dont notice the unbalanced nature (I quite like the balance on my F80 and on a D40x/60 as well as on a D300), I do agree about that zoom ring though, it could be better. The 14-24 is absolutely wonderful to use, I was lucky enough to use a friends copy whilst shooting with him the other night. Cameron
