Any Car Mechanic Experts?

Postby Yi-P on Wed Feb 04, 2009 2:54 pm

I'm trying to find some car parts for a friend overseas.

Its a '93 Mazda 929, front right suspension part(s).

A scan of the original (it's in Spanish):

Here's the pic of the suspension unit:

The parts required is the long straight arm seen here, and also a shaped arm on the lower right.

The other arm looks like this:

Question is, what are those things called?

The top part in the drawing is a control arm.

The bottom part (the bent one) is called a radius arm, or more commonly, a tie bar. It stops the suspension being pushed backwards.

Hope this helps. Let me know if you need any more info.

Cheers,
Andrew

I came up with this on my search, but the picture of the control arm does not look like the straight arm in the picture.. ??

This "control arm" seems more like the "tie bar" (bent shaped) you are talking about?

I need to try to find a place that sells these part, anyone know a Mazda part dealer?
