Leave of absense.....

Postby rahudman on Mon Feb 28, 2005 10:09 am

Hi guys,

Been a really tough weekend, and just popping back into work now. My grandfather (no doubt one of the coolest people I have ever known) has become very sick. He is currently in critical care in the cardiac unit on the coast. He has massive heart blockages and time it appears has all but run out.

The last few days has been very upsetting for me. I am marching forward and spending as much time with him as I can, while I can. The end of life is such a sad thing. Never an easy way to deal with it.
:?
So it is due to this reason that I will have much less time to put into being part of this forum. I still aim to keep shooting away with my camera (kodak dx7590) and still plan on getting my d70 mid-year. However, as I am sure you can all understand, somethings are more important than others.

I will still pop in when I can, and will be back in full swing when my time become a little more avaliable. I am still excited to be a part of this forum, and will prove that in my continued (all be it to a lesser degree for the short term) activity in discusions.

I hope you can all understand (particularly the site-admin, as I wish to become a member asap). I wish you all the best..............

Come back when you can. It's the people ariound us that are truly important, and that is where your priorities correctly lie.

Your understanding is truely appreciated. Looking forward to getting things on track again. This whole event has made me question alot of my life's prioritites and see things alot clearer.

I'll be around still, just a little less for now....

In the meantime, best wishes for an improvement in your Grandfather's health.

Indeed these moments of sadness are blessings for many of us as they help us understand how fragile life can be and the time that we spend in it. I hope your next couple of months with your Grandfather are worthwhile. HOpe to see you on this forum more in the future.

Sorry to hear your news.

I'm sure your Grandfather really appreciates the time you are spending with him right now.

I think Onyx had a quote in his signature that is appropriate: "Try not to be sad when something ends, be happy that it happened".

Once again

Postby rahudman on Tue Mar 01, 2005 9:19 am

Once again guys, all of you, thanks so much for you support. Catching up for a Brisbane meet in the future sounds like a good idea. At the moment, due t my grandfather and work load, that is not possible. Maybe in the future though, for sure.

Thanks AGAIN guys, you have shown me so much understanding. :D :D
