Forum rules
Please note that image critiquing is a matter of give and take: if you post images for critique, and you then expect to receive criticism, then it is also reasonable, fair and appropriate that, in return, you post your critique of the images of other members here as a matter of courtesy. So please do offer your critique of the images of others; your opinion is important, and will help everyone here enjoy their visit to far greater extent.

Also please note that, unless you state something to the contrary, other members might attempt to repost your image with their own post processing applied. We see this as an acceptable form of critique, but should you prefer that others not modify your work, this is perfectly ok, and you should state this, either within your post, or within your signature.

Images posted here should conform with the general forum guidelines. Image sizes should not exceed 950 pixels along the largest side (height or width) and typically no more than four images per post or thread.

The fungi in #2 has come out very nicely Andrew.
Different angle to what I took as well.

ANdrew

I like both fungi shots (image #4 in particular), but the other two images are a but flat somehow. #4 looks like it would be home underwater

Andrew i think you have done well in maintaining the detail in #2 the Fungi as the shot would have been quite difficult avouiding blowing out the white lip on the fungi. You have maintained detail well. In #1 and #3, as a result of the abundance of green foliage in the rainforest canope there is certainly a green cast throughout the image that gives it an unnatural look.
cheers

I was actually going for a flat look and green cast in #1 and #3 to preserve the look inside the canopy. For me it actually looks natural. But I guess everyone sees things differently.

I went ahead and made some higher contrast and less green versions. I think I still prefer the originals.
