Re: Mantis#2 is a cracker imo.
great composition and it just seems the little guy is saying 'you can't see me!' any chance of seeing the exif data? in particular aperture and focal length... gerry's photography journey
No amount of processing will fix bad composition - trust me i have tried.
Re: Mantis
Exif as follows, #1 . 105mm , 1/60th @ F20 @ ISO100 #2 . 105mm , 1/250th @ F18 @ ISO100 #3 . 105mm , 1/250th @ F29 @ ISO100 All shots were taken using an SB600 in a home made softbox (ust like ATJ's),using MY SB800 with a difuser on camera to trigger it, both on manual at varying powers. The mantis himself was on a sheet of A3 white paper draped up the wall gently enough to show no creases. Cheers Adam Please don't use or edit my images.

Re: MantisVery nice.
I usually much prefer bug shots in their natural surroundings but the contrast between the bug and the background in these are great. Number 3 for me.. just to be different Paul http://www.australiandigitalphotography.com
Living in poverty due to my addiction to NIKON... Is there a clinic that can help me?
