my niece jumping into my poolhey just thought id post up this sequence that i got of my niece jumping into my dad's arms in the pool
my parents wanted some photos of my sisters daughter in the pool, she is only 2 and has a great time in the pool under close supervision ofcourse. i found that because i was in the shadow of the back fence, it created far too harsh hi-lights on objects such as her skin. next time i will try from a better angle to get rid of this (although it is hard as kids always run around and never sit still). And the shutter speed was too slow, if i get more photos similar i will speed the shutter speed up. most importantly though i enjoyed getting the photos and by the looks on her face she is enjoying herself aswell. 1) 2) 3) 4)
Re: my niece jumping into my poolGreat shooting! I have a 2 yo as well, but she is not brave enough to jump in the pool like that. Your niece will look back in years to come be very thankful for the memories captured here. Well done!
It's amazing to see how fast the little ones grow - I try to snap every special moment. If it wasn't for my own children, I wouldn't be so enthusiastic about photography! My eldest just started kindy and is getting active in tennis and swimming - I sometimes wished my dad would have portfolio my childhood as much as I have with my kids. “ If you cannot explain it simply, you dont understand it well enough ”

Re: my niece jumping into my poolGreat shots, well captured.
In relation to your comments, I notice you are very well equipped with flash gear, maybe some flash fill would have helped. In any event, what you have is fantastic. Greg - - - - D200 etc
