PotW March 3 2009

Vigorous discussion of the images and techniques is welcome and encouraged. Criticism of any mod for their choice is not. PotW March 3 2009

Postby gstark on Wed Mar 04, 2009 8:50 am

Sorry for the tardiness of this week's selection, but I was otherwise occupied yesterday, following the passing of an uncle in Melbourne.

Imagine my surprise this morning, however, when I noticed that the PotW had not yet been posted, and I went to consult our roster, only to discover that it's my turn!

So, after a quick look, I've decided upon this image, by Big V.

Image

I love the use of colour and movement in this image; Dame Edna would be thrilled.

Well done Tony. The original thread lives here.

Thanks again all... The exposure was 1.6 seconds with the flash gun attached to the camera using rear curtain synch. The Fringe gives us a month of wonderful subjects to photograph and plenty of opportunities to try out different ideas and techniques, so this year I have a list of things to try and this was is one result from working through the list.
