Re: BBJ's Avalon AirshowBBJ - in view of the weather conditions depicted in your shots, and what you described to me via e-mail you have done extremely well.

Re: BBJ's Avalon AirshowThanks BP I love the super connie and some full shots of her in the gallery but yes we did as much as we could with conditions, i would have liked to have done better but with crap weather you take what you get and must add a few more to gallery when i get to go through some more time. All shot with the D2x and 300 f2.8.

Re: BBJ's Avalon AirshowNice work BBJ, I had a good look thru you gallery and there are some good shots there, especially given the day!
I really like the connie in this series, the windsock in the background almost at horizontal adds to the composition! I love the hornet underbelly shot, something different in terms of perspective, maybe some sharpening would help? The dump and burn shots on your gallery are good, especially DSC3865, good light on that one, good angle also! one day that burn will catch up to him gerry's photography journey
No amount of processing will fix bad composition - trust me i have tried.
Re: BBJ's Avalon AirshowNice John. We had an airshow at Coffs Hbr last year and the weather was pristine, (sorry ). Connie was there and I couldn't help noticing the huge amount of oil leaking from the thing. It was everywhere.

Re: BBJ's Avalon Airshow
Mate there was like a couple of litres of oil under her as mates noticed it and well i guess they did that in the old days. Still nice to see the oldgirl in the air and on the friday night they just ran her down the runway as weather was to crappy to fly her so a couple of speed runs to show the flames from the engines. Sounds nice though. D3,D2x,D70,18-70 kit lens,Sigma 70-200mm F2.8EX HSM,Nikon AF-I 300m F2.8, TC20E 2X
