Eric Bibb in concertWent out last night to see Eric Bibb in concert, a blues/folk guitarist. I have seen him many times before both here in Australia and in the UK. He is currently touring Oz and can highly recommend going to see him. Great entertainment.
I was seated in the front row and was able to run off a couple of shots. All taken on the D90 @ 3200ISO with the 18-200VR. Quite pleased with the results considering the lens used, looking forward to getting some faster glass. Re: Eric Bibb in concertHi Geoff
Nice shots for tonality and feel. I would have cropped them a lot tighter myself and maybe in conjunction with extending the first one out a bit to the left (easy enough with a black background). That's partly a matter of personal taste though. It's a bit hard to tell with a small on-screen image but they don't appear all that sharp. I guess that's either (1) the 18-200, with reduced resolution wide open or (2) the shutter speed was so low that subject movement came into play, or (3) it might be front or back focus. Regards, Murray

Probably all of the above! Shots were taken @200mm, f5.6, and 1/40 to 1/60s with VR on. I was also using MF as I did not want the AF illuminator to attract attention or to cause a distraction. The RAW images do look much better than the web versions presented here. Fuji X-Pro1 | X-E1 | X-T1 | XF14 | XF23 | XF27 | XF35 | XF56 | XF60 | XF10-24 | XF18-55 | XF55-200 | MCEX-11
