PotW 7 April 2009

Yes I'm late. Picture of the week is always a challenge. This week is no exception. Getting shots of animals in zoos is always a challenge and we have a number of members here who seem to keep getting better and better at such shots. My choice this week is a case in point. The image I've chosen manages to be wonderfully sharp without any sign of enclosure or other hindrnace and the leopard is capture both in motion and well lit. A near perfect shot of a captive animal.

Congratulations Fozzie. The original post is HERE

A fine shot indeed, although seeing what Fozzie took today I wonder if you can win POTW two weeks in a row with the same subject? Lets just say his new camera is very sweet and he now gets the whole leopard in the frame from the same spot..

Superb Shot Fozzie and a beautiful animal in a shit of a cage. Extremely well deserved and an excellent choice for POTW. Can't wait to see shots referred to by Big V and yes, photos of this calibre deserve POTW so long as its not at the expense of other equally as good ones, however many weeks in a row!!!

Congrats Fozz. It's a real standout image. The look of intent in the animals eyes is what makes it so good.
