Picture of the Week 28.02.05This image was chosen for its composition, showing how well simple elements work together. While appearing straightforward it draws the viewer in looking for more. Or maybe we just liked the bright colours!
Looking forward to hearing the opinions of others. It was shot by Flipfrog (Dee) and other examples of this series and the thread it came from are here: http://forum.d70users.com/viewtopic.php?t=3092
I like it a lot. A perfect example of how simple can be better. The colours work well and the composition of the window off centre (which might upset some) is great.
I think that the after noon (or morning) shadows make work well too. I missed the first thread with this photo so thanks to "Photo of the Week"for bringing it to my attention. Will all these photos be posted in a galary for us to look through? Regards
Jonesy
As long as the original links remain alive, they will be accessible through this section the forum. There will be just one new thread each week, for each new POW. g.

Or I could just start a gallery on Kristine's server and store all the POW's there. I'm tempted to, actually. Producer & Editor @ GadgetGuy.com.au

Congratulations Dee. Well done. I liked this image when you first posted and, despite it's simplicity, it hasn't lost any of its appeal.

A nice group feature that I'm gonna look forward to each week and a nice, striking choice for this week's award!
I've added it to the sticky explaining the POTW function in this section, but here it is for anyone if you want to bookmark it.

You could put them on giulia ... in the same folder where the thumb lives. (I've already put this week's there.) g.

Yeah, but this way saves on D70Users.com bandwidth.

I was talking about the archive copies ... just as you were for the ones you were going to copy to your local drive.

Have to agree with everyone so far, this is a really nice start to the Photo of the Week archive - well chosen mods
I really like these simple, incluttered pics, especially when they have such striking colour. *** When getting there is half the fun! ***
I'm loving this shot too. I like the asymetry of the window on the left and the shade on the right.
Beauty. Cheers Dean I intend to live forever. So far, so good.
