Just got back from the hospital and the patient is flying high under the morphine and her own sense of humour

Her 3 sons came to visit and can't believe what a difficult patient - just like our boy who keeps falling off his m/c and
into intensive care wards :nono:

Anyhow, the physio promises an early start on Thursday so that should be a new challenge

Joe, give my best wishes to Chryssine. Her doctor has probably mentioned it but don't even consider jogging for 2 or 3 weeks

That's great news Joe. I hope the recovery goes well. Just make sure she takes plenty of time to recover rather than overdo things eh

Today they removed all catheters and other devices and she walked with the aid of a Zimmer frame to the dunny and did her business and walked back .. a slow process (the walking I mean, I was there as a witness but not to the privy part) but obvious progress.

Thanks for all the good wishes, she should be home sometime next week. I'll see how she goes baking cakes and report back :biglaugh:

Its good to hear she is progressing well. My other half has had a number of hip ops over the years and recovery is never easy but each achievement made is good stuff. Normally its once you can negotiate the stairs that you can go home, so thats the biggie to aim for. It is amazing though how quickly they get you up and going nowadays. All the best.
