1 month old babyHi All,
Can you please critique these pics I took of a 1 month old baby for a friend? I used a portable light tent, with bounce flash to light the baby up... Re: 1 month old babyI like the face shot. I also think that you have your basic lighting sorted. [soft and omnidirectional].
It would be good to have a parent's hand [or anything to show scale] to show how small the baby's hand is. I would try to show the parents in some photos as well. Just to show the relationship between them. For example the first could be improved if the parent was looking down etc... Generally speaking baby photos are done in a high key or at least with a mild background rather than black. In my mind the black background doesn't add anything. If anything it adds mystery..makes the baby lonely. Can I ask how you used the light tent? Did you put the baby inside it?
Re: 1 month old babyYes, I put the baby inside the tent hence it was hard to get good angles from top or side... so pretty limited... I used a red heater to help add some orange glows...
I need to practice a lot more with baby shooting! Anyways, it was a challenge to get the baby where I want it! Thanks for your input!
