Please note that image critiquing is a matter of give and take: if you post images for critique, and you then expect to receive criticism, then it is also reasonable, fair and appropriate that, in return, you post your critique of the images of other members here as a matter of courtesy. So please do offer your critique of the images of others; your opinion is important, and will help everyone here enjoy their visit to far greater extent. Also please note that, unless you state something to the contrary, other members might attempt to repost your image with their own post processing applied. We see this as an acceptable form of critique, but should you prefer that others not modify your work, this is perfectly ok, and you should state this, either within your post, or within your signature. Images posted here should conform with the general forum guidelines. Re: Been awhile since I posted anything..soThe last one is excellent. I could see that printed quite large.

Two or three lights, any lens on a light-tight box are sufficient for the realisation of the most convincing image. Man Ray 1935. Our mug is smug
Re: Been awhile since I posted anything..soI like that last one.
Took me a while to work out what I was looking at. Very clever !
Re: Been awhile since I posted anything..soyepp, the last is defiantly the pick. very cleverly executed.
the wavy pattern across the steel in the first combined with the stark geometry of the panels could be interesting with a different composition, as it is i think its too flat and wide. EM1 l 7.5 l 12-40 l 14 l 17 l 25 l 45 l 60 l 75 l AW1 l V3

still trying to work it out very nice picture though, simplisticity at its greatest. I quite like the first as well, the patterned rippled reflections are interesting - good spotting. gerry's photography journey
No amount of processing will fix bad composition - trust me i have tried.
Re: Been awhile since I posted anything..soLike the others, I also think that the last one is terrific.
I think #2 may have been better if taken with a bit more side-lighting so that the shadows were a tad longer, if that were at all possible. Sometimes the sun just doesn't do what we want it too! TFF (Trevor)

Re: Been awhile since I posted anything..soLike the others Matt that last image is the standout (and yes it took me a while to work out how you'd shot it too). #1 is also very good, but #2 is a little too fragmented for me - too much tension between the very different top and bottom halves of the shot. All very much your trademark style though.

As above, however, I am going to be the dissenting voice here, I think the third image would be improve, perhaps, by cropping off the half shadow on the right edge and turning the canvas to show the bird in an upright position.
