Great Ocean Roadstill doing the great ocean road. sitting back at apollo bay now on my gf's laptop. will be in melbourne tomorrow till sat.
sorry about pic size and quality, as i said ive uploaded the pics up to her laptop, resized in ms paint haha, and adjusted a few settings in windows picture viewer. cant wait to get back to adelaide to use a mouse, and have lightroom and photoshop. here is the grotto this was taken at the start of the blowhole then i proposed to my gf at london bridge so she treated me to a helicopter flight which was awesome (lol had to go back to the car to get my camera bag, this made the perfect chance to hide the ring and suprise her) 12 apostles by chopper coastline by chopper ive got a duplicate of every image in RAW, so i cant wait to get back and see what the pics will turn out like. cheers shane
Re: Great Ocean Road
zomg, you hid that little 'ol detail half way down the post nicely Congrads! gerry's photography journey
No amount of processing will fix bad composition - trust me i have tried.
Re: Great Ocean RoadCongratulations Shane! Assuming she said yes if she treated you to the flight! That's a very nice was to do it.
Am heading down to Melbourne and Great ocean drive in august too, love your heli shots, did you use a wide angle lens to shoot it? It looks so expansive! Thanks for sharing the photos Val
Nikon D300
Re: Great Ocean RoadCongrats on the engagement - I'm glad you did it at London Bridge rather than some of the other sites
Re: Great Ocean RoadCongrats!!!!
Nice pictures as well.
Re: Great Ocean Roadis the lower viewing platform at Thunder Cave still shut off?? I can't help but noticing a tripod set up where there should be no public access
Re: Great Ocean RoadVery Nice.
The chopper ride looked good but i hope she also let you throw the leg over!
Re: Great Ocean Roadlower deck at thunder cave is still closed, some asian tourists couldnt read the sign and went down there with a video camera. i couldnt believe the amount of tourist that could speak and read english well but still didnt care about warning signs. a german girl actually stood on the railing that surrounds the platform so her bf could take photos of her. one decent gust of wind and she would of been toast.
haha man tripod no comment here is the view from my hotel room in melbourne took it tonight floor 17 out of 19 floors (hilton @ the docklands) awesome view to watch at nightime and wake up with in the morning. looks great when the crown casino are doing there flame show every hour
Re: Great Ocean RoadI like the Melb shot, great detail.
