Vivid Sydney 2x2 MeetGreat to see a good turnout tonight!
I think every man/woman, tripod and camera had the same idea tonight, holy crap I have never seen so many people with cameras and tripods... Anyway hopefully there will be some interesting pictures from the night, not to dawdle, here are a quick four that sum up the night from my pov. Observatory Hill - what! a picture without someone else in it! young love under the tree Looks like something outta star trek or back to the future! and of course the sails...myself, cam and surenj where shoulder to shouldler jostling for a position admist a sea of thousands of photographers, party goes and kids! gerry's photography journey
No amount of processing will fix bad composition - trust me i have tried.

Re: Vivid Sydney 2x2 MeetNicely done with the archway - that's the pic of the bunch for me

Re: Vivid Sydney 2x2 MeetWow Gerry
I think I might just format my CF card and not bother. The first is superb. I like the great dynamic range you've got in it with the tree, sunset and the background buldings all being well lit. And that last one is a cracker because we see the lights casting down on the SOH Peter

Re: Vivid Sydney 2x2 MeetI love the last. It looks like the lights are coming down from heaven!
Wonderful shots. Mal
I've got a camera, it's black. I've got some lens, they are black as well.
Re: Vivid Sydney 2x2 Meet
HDR all the way, I was trying to get some more light from the tree... and I also managed to chop of the left part of it which I was spewing about but all in all I was happy there were no people in it
yeah i like this one too, but it does not feel special...maybe cause there was like 35000 other people next to me with the same shot
The fairy lights in the trees make this shot imo....i would love to take credit for that but did not even notice them until i got home
thanks for the comments guys... gerry's photography journey

Re: Vivid Sydney 2x2 MeetMy fav is the tunnel Gerry. Nice HDR work as well.
Re: Vivid Sydney 2x2 Meetall great shots, if i had to choose it would be the first one, it's superb.
Re: Vivid Sydney 2x2 MeetGerry,
love the tunnel, great shot. First one is also really nice, pity about the cut off on the left but still great. The last one is probably the best for me, love the colours and the beams shooting up.
