A walk on the beachprobably a good idea to stay on the beach, the sea looked pretty angry that day
Re: A walk on the beachNice photo... It needs a bit more contrast and has so many possibilities.. Here is what I saw in it [Please let me know if you want me to take it down]
Re: A walk on the beach
thats a nice rework Surenj! The original image has alot of potential, well done. gerry's photography journey
No amount of processing will fix bad composition - trust me i have tried.

No problem surenj, always good to see other points of view.... very nice post processing but I feel it takes away from the original mood, which is pretty dark... I will have another go at it later. in the mean time feel free to reprocess
Re: A walk on the beachWhat would David Hill do? Probably would have used more light to create more darkness.
Re: A walk on the beachI have to say that although the original image has a lot of potential I have to apologize Surenj as neither of your reworks do anything for me....
The original image had a moody, brooding feel to me, with the two figures on the beach contrasting the size and power that the angry sea. The first rework tries to change this feel to convey a warm sunny day...which does not fit with the brooding sea... The second rework is just not to my taste! Cameron

Re: A walk on the beach
Cameron, Don't apologise!! Post your intepretation or suggestions for everyone to learn....
Re: A walk on the beachTry a contrasty B&W conversion with a soft vignette (I am not 100% about the vignette though) and if you can maybe have a go at trying to see if there is any more cloud detail to recover...but I suspect there may not be much....

Re: A walk on the beachI like the original - conveys the power of the sea.

Re: A walk on the beachCameron, nice suggestion. It looks really good like that.
Re: A walk on the beach
Have you done one??? If you have then please post it up! I dont like actually playing with other ppls photos (a personal thing) but I would like to see if it is close to what i had in mind. Cameron

Re: A walk on the beachYes I did Cameron, but I threw it away! I don't mind tinkling with other people's photos if I think it's helping someone to improve [which includes myself]. But there has to be line drawn somewhere. The original poster has posted one image...two posts...while I am posting two images...three posts.... Hmm...maybe not a good idea.

Re: A walk on the beach
Just did the same...I went as far as to add a bit of film grain and stopped before adding vignette....I think it wont need it...but have a play with it and see what you think for yourself Francis....it is your picture at the end of the day Cameron
