So please do offer your critique of the images of others; your opinion is important, and will help everyone here enjoy their visit to far greater extent. Also please note that, unless you state something to the contrary, other members might attempt to repost your image with their own post processing applied. We see this as an acceptable form of critique, but should you prefer that others not modify your work, this is perfectly ok, and you should state this, either within your post, or within your signature. Images posted here should conform with the general forum guidelines. Image sizes should not exceed 950 pixels along the largest side (height or width) and typically no more than four images per post or thread. Please also ensure that you have a meaningful location included in your profile. Please refer to the FAQ for details of what "meaningful" is.

HI, pigeonOne of my racing pigeons....
with my kit 75-300mm, I took a few on the grass to but the bokeh was foul to say the least... and in-flight the lens is just plainly too slow to focus at close range/zoom. Also sorry for the jpeg artifacts in the dark areas Canon EOS 40D

Re: HI, pigeonGreat photo, but I think I would have preferred just a tad more DOF. I would like to see theoutline of the head sharply in focus, but otherwise the same.

Re: HI, pigeonLovely use of background to foreground color matching! I would like to see the eye selectively sharpened (or more in focus) to draw attention there.
The bird looks to be a fine specimen...

Re: HI, pigeonGreat photo...the eyes and beak are pretty sharp so that will get you out of trouble with most people!
