I think the last one might be a bit more striking if the windows were down. I think that would go nicely with the 'nude' with no bonnet

Really nice work and a technique I haven't tried. Could you come round and make my 1994 Fairmont look like that (it may take more than some expensive glass I fear).

Looking at these images makes me want to go out and give it a crack, I agree this is quite a good location and excellent work on the last image, as sheepie says, windows down would also help...

i havnt tried it with the windows down but i will definately give it a go next time im free and we have some nice wheather to play with.

im looking at getting another lens when i get my tax money back something like a sigma 20mm f/1.8 or a canon 28mm f/1.8. this will enable me to get closer to the cars especially for a group shot.

im glad you all like them, best bit about this spot is it is a central location being only 2km out of CBD took me long enough to find a decent location without going bush.

Love the bonnet off shot. You can still improve your editing on the edges. I can vaguely see some blurry edges. Which tool did you use to select? Pen?

are you talking about the edge's where i have taken the bonnet off? my photoshop is a pain sometimes and the lassoo tool acts like it has ended by itself sometimes. this was one of those times so i cut it out really fast.

here is a pic with no lighting but same settings. straight of the camera i might run it in lightroom and give it the same treatment i did to my edited picture. but this just shows how dark the location is.

wow the non painted/edited image looks very different. How long does it take to get your image from out of camera to what your posting??

each photo has about 30 seconds to a minute worth of editing, i dont like doing too much to the image.

i used lightroom, and in that i normally do the following

white balance- till im happy with the colour (im using a led light that puts out a bluish light, so they need to be warmed up a tad)

then i scroll down and adjust exposure, blacks, brightness and contrast and clarity till i am happy with it.

after that i give it a slight sharpen and bump noise reduction up to about 90.

thats it for lightroom then it goes into photoshop to be resized for the web.
