With some fortuitous timing our next 2x2 outing is on Saturday 8th August and is part of our Anniversary Weekend. This 2x2 outing is another harbour walk, but we're skipping a leg (we'll do Drummoyne to Pyrmont later in the year). This walk is a loop walk from Pyrmont Bay Wharf at Darling Harbour and around Jones Bay Wharf then across Anzac Bridge. From there we'll go past Rozelle and BlackWattle Bays, through the fish markets and back to Pyrmont Bay Wharf. Total distance is approximately 10 Km and it will take around 3 hours. We'll be starting at Pyrmont Bay Wharf at 9:15 am. If you plan to come from Circular Quay there is a ferry that leaves the Quay at 8:45 am and arrives at 9:10 am. We'll have lunch at the fish markets. Please indicate your interest in attending by posting below. I'm interested, but with the AW Dinner on that night, I may choose that over the walk, if I can't do both. I'll decide closer to the day.

I am more hopeful for this than the AW dinner. Need to check my credit balance as well. Count me as hopeful but not confirmed. PS: Stubbsy, just a suggestion for these walks. I hear that public transport costs are heaps cheaper on a Sunday [?is that true ]...something to think about.

AFAIK there is a lower price FOR FAMILIES on Sundays. The prices otherwise are the same both days. The Family Funday Sunday ticket allows you to have a fun day out with the family. The ticket can only be purchased on Sundays and is a flat fare of $2.50 per person, with a minimum of one adult and one child related by family travelling together.

I've updated the post at the top with numbers. As for the distance - it's about the same as the previous Harbour Walk which was 9.4 km.

Put pjs and me down as possibles too. As usual though, we won't know about family commitments until a day or so before the walk.

Stubbsy,
There's a small chance of inclement weather tomorrow morning. Is there a wet weather/Strong wind plan?

Yes there is. We use all weather covers on our gear Forecast is www.bom.gov.au wrote: Chance early shower near the coast. Cloudy periods early, clearing towards mostly sunny afternoon. Moderate to fresh south to southwest winds. Precis: Mostly fine. Becoming sunny.
