BigV's VisitGuys has been a long time since I posted anything, I've really been super busy (I post a bit more on my blog thesedays). Just had the pleasure of spending the week with BigV , we always push eachother to get out there and I think it shows in the Images we get when he's here.
Besides the sub standard weather we had a great few days. We did some birding but really didn't get anything worth posting, the rest of the time we were mucking around strobing things. Some pictures! Coments and crit always welcomed A bit of a blog entry with setup shot of the sculptures shots Cheers Adam Please don't use or edit my images.

Re: BigV's VisitNice images Adam, did you use flash on the 2nd one of the sculpture?

Re: BigV's VisitNice detailed shots of the sculpture, the first two shots highlight the structure well against the fading twilight. In the first we get a sense of scale with the two persons towards the left with the second we see intricate detail.
Re: BigV's VisitNice shots Adam, like them all and good to hear someone pushers the big fella around a bit.LOL Anyhow mate fix the dust bunny up on #2 shot if you decide to print it about level with the hole in the sculpture to the right.

Re: BigV's VisitThanks for the comments guys,
Yes 2 flashes one either side of the sculpture on a wide zoom setting which gave the light a smoother more even look.
someone has to rough the big bugger up thanks re dust bunny, hadn't noticed it would do if i was prepping the file for print tho. Cheers Adam Please don't use or edit my images.

Re: BigV's Visit#2 is the shot I like best, but if you print #1 get an axe out and lop the heads of the two people on the left. Even though they add some scale I find them very distracting.
I like the lighting in #3 but find the shadow distracting, maybe a flash behind the bale press at 1/8 power lighting the wall may help. Was this in the woolshed in Kinchega? Craig

Re: BigV's VisitIt's a great place to visit and the sculptures are just asking to be strobed well and good. Really nice work. Interesting that the dust is obvious agaist the blue sky but would probably be completely invisible in most other shots. You make me want to get back out there (hell of a long way from Sydney though)
