CybersyncsI got my quote today for cybersyncs. $488AUD shipped for 4 receivers and one transmitter. Before i bite the bullet is there any reason people see for me not to go ahead ?
PW's are out of the question due to cost/ size. radiopoppers have always been my preference cos of TTL compatibility but the price of these is going to be cost inhibative aswell. feedback would be appreciated cos to me this sounds like a pretty reasonable deal for reliable radio triggers. am i missing something ? Re: Cybersyncs - talk me out of it ?ok, had a good chance to test these out today. i didn't want to stand in the street and look like a wanker so the distance i only tested at home. from of house to back of house, around 160ft, 100% fire rate. this is miles more than anything i'll ever need it for so i'm very satisfied.
Pros: *reliability * small size and light weight * build quality * ease of use/ setup * cost * packs with sync cords and batteries Cons: * no ttl obviously * that test button is not one of those forum myths. this is a real problem. when handling them you invariably hit the button and trigger the flash. but thats not the real problem, the issue is that unless you box these up properly they will constantly activate in your bag. there is no "off" button; they just turn off after a few minutes so this is an issue that needs to be addressed with a work around, (there are heaps out there). * nowhere on the unit to be able to attach a lanyard or anything. they are totally smooth so you cant attach them easily to the flash or a lightstand or anything. you will have to attach velcro or loop a small lanyard thru the battery compartment. not a big deal but really, this is a stupid design flaw imo. all in all...big thumbs up and i highly recommend these to anyone thinking of off camera flash triggers. Re: Cybersyncsgreat to hear that they work well..I have never even heard of them before...but then again i am not big on flash, although I feel like i probably will be soon.

Re: Cybersyncs
The way DSE's site works, you can't post a link to a specific product. Go to their home page. This link will do. and search on product H1991 Greg

Re: CybersyncsThanks for the review Rooz. Perhaps you could try to stick a bit of velcro with a hole for the test button so that the button doesn't stick out of the unit so much?
