Bribery(can a mod tell me how to fix the photo so if you click on it, it opens up in another window ? the forum makes the shot look too soft. ty...i think i fixed it, but i dont know what size is being displayed on the forum...is that 800px ?)
Who's first to match the thread title with the photo ? strobist here: my DIY softbox got double diffusion and am much happier with the light. http://www.flickr.com/photos/10435080@N00/3784832738/ i was really happy with this one aswell but i screwed up the light on my eye. just a fraction too far to the right and the softbox nuked my eye. goddamit hard to get right with a selfie. C&C welcome. Last edited by chrisk on Mon Aug 03, 2009 10:48 pm, edited 2 times in total.

Re: BriberyGreat photos! The bribery would be the half eaten freddo frog right ?
Strobist would be proud of these. Great balance between flash and ambient, looks like your using some CTO gels too, helps create the warm feeling.
Re: Briberyyeah well picked craig.
i did use 1/2 cto gels. to my eyes it looks a little warm, probably should have used 1/4. EM1 l 7.5 l 12-40 l 14 l 17 l 25 l 45 l 60 l 75 l AW1 l V3
Re: BriberyNicely done Rooz. It does look a little soft on the forum and your embeded link to the images works fine. Noticed it was all shot manual, do you ever use the CLS?

Re: Briberynot as much trial and error as getting him to hold still and look at the camera. lol
seriously though, not really, you get a pretty good feel for where you gotta be after you use flash for a while. so its some minor adjustment. i toned down the softbox a tad cos it was a bit hot, but otherwise nothing much. EM1 l 7.5 l 12-40 l 14 l 17 l 25 l 45 l 60 l 75 l AW1 l V3
Re: BriberyExcellent lighting, particularly in the first. Reminds me that I should get out there and take some photos with the boys and with the lighting gear.

Re: BriberyAwesome work. #1 just pops for me. I agree it's warm, but it's not too warm I think the warmth works really well with the image.
You can do this with some complex BBCode, but the easy way since you use smugmug is to use DanielA's great little web page for doing the hard work for you go to http://www.users.on.net/~attema/smugmug/smuglink.pl Peter
