Some tulips..Took this shot late last night when we got home from the AW dinner.
Taken with the 17-35mm 2.8 (thanks Patrick) and a off camera flash, triggered by the onboard flash. Comments welcomed: Geoff

Re: Some tulips..Very bloody nice, mate.
You've achieved a beautiful pastel feel to this image, which suits the subject down to the ground. g.

Re: Some tulips..Indiddeley a fine photo although I would crop the right hand side through the middle of the back tulip to remove the heavy duty blue

Re: Some tulips..not the most constructive comment, but I agree with what has been said by Gary and Chris (great image, maybe a crop) but I was interested in where the off camera flash was placed.

Re: Some tulips..Thanks for the comments guys and CHris, the suggestion of a crop is a great idea.
Cameron - I was a little tipsy at the time of shooting it but I think the SB800 was directly above and a little to (camera) right, facing down. There has been little PP done to this shot too. Appreciate the feedback guys - cheers. Geoff

Re: Some tulips..
Very nice photograph. A bit on the soft side, but it works with those colours. You might even put in in a get-well card of sorts.
Re: Some tulips..Geoff
If someone had shown me this image and said who do you think made it?.....I would have answered, "a female without a doubt!". This is a very feminine image???? That it was made by a man, you, shows you are capable of a very sensitive visual photographic interpretation/capture. Mate..I hope you're not going over to the other side? Nice work...I'd like to see more still life images from you. Regards
Matt. K
Re: Some tulips..It's all the lens.
Seriously, very nice image, Geoff. It has a very 'painterly' feel to it. Regards, Patrick
Two or three lights, any lens on a light-tight box are sufficient for the realisation of the most convincing image. Man Ray 1935. Our mug is smug

Matt thinks you're a girl Geoff. I would whack him with my handbag. Greg - - - - D200 etc

Re: Some tulips..
Matt Matt Matt... I bought these tulips for Bel for her bday and we've been watching them 'open'...fricken amazing I tell ya and when I got home last night, they were begging to be photographed . Feminine, well maybe a tad, but just look at them! Delicious! Maybe I should buy Bel more flowers? I can get in touch with my fenimine side Matt, but trust me, I'll never venture to the 'other' side Thanks for the compliments on the image though... I want the tulips to stop opening...they look even better today! Geoff

Re: Some tulips..Don’t listen to Matt, he’s talking a load of bollocks The flowers are lovely and it would only be homophobes that would not take flower pics
