Reverse engineer the lighting on this oneI feel that the photographer is not telling us the whole truth about how he lit this car....
Any thoughts... [OR maybe you agree with his explanation?] http://www.flickr.com/photos/nv-p/3843016405/
Re: Reverse engineer the lighting on this oneI am terrible at reverse engineering lighting on images, however my only comment would be that there was softboxes involved and substantial PP, the lack of light reflections is very very nice, maybe there was some street lights (see refelction in building window) that contributed?
I am sure some of the lighting gurus here could decipher it better... gerry's photography journey
No amount of processing will fix bad composition - trust me i have tried.
Re: Reverse engineer the lighting on this oneI would say that his explanation seems plausible...BUT there has been a SHITLOAD of post done. I was quite surprised how much D-Lighting could do with my stuff from the other night.

Re: Reverse engineer the lighting on this oneSeems plausable.
The car is a Matt Black so that sheen that you see off the body is normal when you pump some lights onto it: http://www.flickr.com/photos/nv-p/37420 ... 755837066/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/nv-p/37419 ... 755837066/
Re: Reverse engineer the lighting on this oneI'd say it was lit as described, with ambient to bring in the background. Has had a fair bit of post though.
Re: Reverse engineer the lighting on this oneThanks guys for the responses.
I didn't realise that there was such an option as MATT black!! Now it makes more sense. Do you have to get a custom paint job for the MATT option?
