not a good day....

Left home this morning to shoot some birds, will post later, and this was the view this morning around 11am

around 4:30 this afternoon

at the bottom of this mountain there is the village of Tilba. The community of Tilba have been put on standby to move out. Livestock has been moved, kids sent to friends the other side of the inlet and out of harms way. On dark this evening, you could see the flames on the top of the mountain and heading down the hillside towards the Tilba Village from the street outside my home....... I am about 5-7Ks in a straight line from this fire on the edge of town with thick bush on 3 sides....... there is very little wind to night, who knows what tomorrow will be like.
Cheers ....bp....

...... there was a good rain fall this afternoon, don't know as yet if it was enough to put out the fires but would have helped a lot.... the fire this mornng around 11am was half way down the mountain

Pray for more rain!

Tilba is a beautiful little town and I hope it can be saved.
