Black & White AnzacSome images taken back at the beginning of the month during the AW 2x2 meet. I find the Anzac bridge more interesting (AND more challenging) to photograph than the venerable SHB and I'm almost happy with my output this time Click a pic to see it larger and thanks for looking.

Re: Black & White AnzacVery nice images there Peter, the black and white treatment looks really good in the 1st, and the lines really lead you into the image.
The subsequent images have been treated nicely but they are not as strong as the first. They seem a bit lacking...but I am not sure how...maybe it is the half bridge. Great stuff though! Cameron

Re: Black & White AnzacPeter, I found myself thinking of what the colour versions looked like, in particular the last one - also i get caught between the subjects in the last one, I start off by getting led up to the bridge then torn back to the lady on the seat, i guess what i am trying to blunder out here is that, maybe one or the other needs to be more dominate in the image, maybe a composition lower and closer to the lady? anyway i am probably spinning crap here...
The first image is hard work, the lack of symmetry and definite subject makes it a hard image to capture, I keep thinking back to your fisheye one from below the pylon, this one was a standout. Anyways, i hope this helps, at the very least amusing gerry's photography journey
No amount of processing will fix bad composition - trust me i have tried.
Re: Black & White AnzacFirstly I'm sure its my monitor but the black and whites look, well a bit dirty, like black and off white. But I'd sure know you, that its my screen that is out of wack. I really like the last one. Interesting composition, and keeps me looking.
The first and second are just a bit bland for me to be honest.
