Please note that image critiquing is a matter of give and take: if you post images for critique, and you then expect to receive criticism, then it is also reasonable, fair and appropriate that, in return, you post your critique of the images of other members here as a matter of courtesy. So please do offer your critique of the images of others; your opinion is important, and will help everyone here enjoy their visit to far greater extent.

Also please note that, unless you state something to the contrary, other members might attempt to repost your image with their own post processing applied. We see this as an acceptable form of critique, but should you prefer that others not modify your work, this is perfectly ok, and you should state this, either within your post, or within your signature.

South Curl Curl Rock Pool - Winter 2009

Postby Geoff on Mon Aug 31, 2009 6:14 pm

Sometimes when I get a spare moment one of my most favourite spots ever is at the South Curl Curl rock pool on the Northern Beaches. I managed to get out and about today and snapped off a few shots. Here's a couple that I thought were ok. Comments/critiques most welcome. These were taken with Patrick's yummy 17-25mm 2.8 lens.

thats a fine looking pool, i like the colour differences between the pool and ocean

On the second image, i would be interested to see a pano style crop and also the colour version, especially with such nice colours in the first image!

Very nice work there...I love the colours in the first, makes me want to go swimming! Both images just dont reflect the conditions of winter so I guess you must live in the always sunny southern california...LOL

Geoff, that pano style colour version works much better for me, i wish they could have straightened the fence poles

Looks like a very nice pool too, makes my regular vic park pool look miserable... :|
