Gorgeous LandscapesSometimes I find myself both inspired and disheartened in the same breath. While Smugmug was undergoing maintenance I stumbled apon this guys work. http://www.emmanuelcoupe.com/ Some really gorgeous landscapes, of a lot of places I've been and also taken photos. Its inspiring, because I know its possible to make photos like these, but at the same time I've come back with photos that aren't anywhere near this level. Mind you this is his job, and right now photography is still just a very expensive hobby (and obsession) for me.
Anyway thought I'd share his gallery with you, its well worth a look on a quiet Friday, or even a busy one. I found it interesting that some photos seem to be fairly heavily processed when others don't. What do you guys think ?
Re: Gorgeous LandscapesThe 8th photo of the main gallery is awesome! There's not a single ripple on the water.
To my uneducated eye it looks like most of these have a HDR type of effect, yeah?
Re: Gorgeous LandscapesNice find Craig, I am amazed at his BW landscapes - really gives plebs like me soemthing to aim for!

No amount of processing will fix bad composition - trust me i have tried.
Re: Gorgeous LandscapesThanks for sharing that site Craig.
It's great to have inspiration like this but FWIW I have found your own work to be inspirational to me too. Your wonderful images of Eilean Donan Castle for example, inspired me to travel there to photograph it for myself. Cheers Nikon D700 D300
Re: Gorgeous LandscapesBeautiful stuff indeed.
He has put in a lot of effort in to these and it shows.
Re: Gorgeous LandscapesGreat find indeed Craig! There are some incredible shots in there!
