Pregnant and ProudAnother shot from the same session with the pregnant friend. This one is in different style.
Thanks for looking Alex
Re: Pregnant and ProudI like the intensity of the expression and her interaction with the camera. I find the dark vignetting on the top left a little distracting. I think I would also prefer it without the underwear (I know that sounds kind of weird, but I'm a girl!). It kind of ruins the flow of the fabric and draws the eye.

Re: Pregnant and ProudI agree about the underwear and the line of the eye (but I'm a male so maybe it does sound weird). Her expression is captivating and draws you into the image. The sheet gives a lovely flow down over the couch, maybe a crop that was able to show more of this flow would be nice. And one last comment- she might look better with her back leg (as you look at the image) down, rather than both up.
Re: Pregnant and ProudNice Alex.
I'm with the others, the underwear is only distracting because it does catch the eye. All up I really like the shot but I think the lighting could have been a little better in drawing the focus from her eyes/face to her belly. At the moment her face (especially her eyes) are a little dark. Try, just slightly, brining her eyes out in post a little. Andrew
Nikon D3 and lot's of Nikon stuff!!
Re: Pregnant and ProudAlex,
As I said on your prior shoot with this lady, I think she is stunningly beautiful, and especially her face. I would try to use a little more width in your lighting to reduce the apparent vignetting, and also lose the cushions, letting her head rest upon the lounge's armrest: I find that the colours and patterns in the cushions are a major distraction. Having done that, I would then reframe to ensure that both of her feet - fully - are enclosed within the confines of the image. Finally, I would echo the comments that others have made: the underwear really detracts from what would be a truly beautiful image. Either a sheer nightgown of some sort, or totally nude. I understand the sensitivity that this may create, of course. You certainly have the raw materials here for some great work; it just needs a little more attention to detail to really pull off some great images. g.

Re: Pregnant and ProudThank you all for heaps of suggestions and feedback.
I have a few versions of this photo, some showing her full body including feet. I agree about the underwear. Unfortunately due to the sensitivity issues, it was not possible. Thanks for the great feedback. Alex
