Anyone shooting the 85/1.8D on FX ?would like to know you're views pls. i owned this and didnt like it on DX but wondering how it performs on FX. i know my 35/2 and 105/2.8 significantly improved on a d700 so wondering if i can see the same improvement on the 85/1.8.
not interested in the 1.4 so pls dont respond with "just buy the 1.4" EM1 l 7.5 l 12-40 l 14 l 17 l 25 l 45 l 60 l 75 l AW1 l V3
Re: Anyone shooting the 85/1.8D on FX ?All of my lenses improved with the d700 also, I will have to use the 85 a little bit more to give you a more informed answer but have not nticed any issues as yet.

Re: Anyone shooting the 85/1.8D on FX ?I was very impressed with this lens on DX (loaner from friend) but I'll ask to see if my mate (who now has a D3) has had a chance to use it on FX.
I know what you mean by the 'just get the f/1.4' comments Cameron

Re: Anyone shooting the 85/1.8D on FX ?I updated from the D2X to the D700 last year and believe all of my lenses, including the 85mm F1.8 are better on the D700. Best improver is the 80-400mm. It's not really possible to explain how they improved, but the shots now appear to me to be clearer and detail better defined.
Re: Anyone shooting the 85/1.8D on FX ?thanks for the feedback. i might find one and give it another try.

Re: Anyone shooting the 85/1.8D on FX ?It's just right on a FX body, the 85mm f1.4 that I have works great on the D700.
And in line with most of the reviews, the f1.4 is less sharp in the corners but sharper in the centre. Blog: http://grevgrev.blogspot.com
