I left my charger behind when I recenely visited Melbourne. After some initial panic, and realising that the local shop sold it for $120, I posted a message on the forums. Literally hours later, I had a reply and a charger in my hands!!

This image would not have been possible otherwise... [There was some minor drama with my ebay triggers after some antenna modification but luckily I got them working again!]

I was shooting an image for a dance group brochure [well I got the idea after the shoot ] The background is from the archives...

I like what you've done here; it's a great image.

While, yes, a cityscape would also have worked, this depends upon the concept that you're seeking to create.

And I also appreciate the fact that you have taken a few moments to publicly thank Dave for his generosity and assistance. We have many members here who are willing to assist others, only for the asking. It only takes but a few moments to acknowledge the fact that they have put themselves out, and the fact that you have done this says a great deal about not simply Dave for his help, but about yourself, for your thoughtfulness in remembering to acknowledge Dave's efforts.

That's actually the weight of the dancer in the image, pushing that side of the image down a little. If you were to clone out the hands so that he is no longer touching that side, the horizon would straighten itself up.

very nice concept. I like the imagery and overall I'm sure your client will be happy.

some initial thoughts on potential fine tuning;
first was the font/text. unless its for watermarking purposes, perhaps add a font shadow or something to lift it off the page. lacks the pop I think you would be after. (sorry I cant offer more specific suggestions as I dont work with texts much, but I'm sure the good members in here can add to this point).

second was I would love to see the silloette flipped over with the head towards the island. I dont know if this would work, as it may take away from the key subject, but would be interested to see them side by side. did you try that rotation?

I have dig deeper in to my archives! I haven't found anything yet up until 2008... hmm.. I am not sure where the 2007 files are....

I tried pretty hard with this one but, the lens distortion at 17mm causes too many problems. I have used the PS lens distortion filter to try and correct the ?pincushion or whatever but haven't been too successful. Perhaps it's not so obvious with the dancer going the other way...
